The Lancet Commission on Obesity

Dr. Dietz is co-chair of the Lancet Commission on Obesity. In 2019, The Lancet released the Commission’s seminal report, The Global Syndemic of Obesity, Undernutrition and Climate Change. The report is the first to critically link obesity to a broader context that includes the pandemics of obesity, undernutrition, and climate change. The linkages between these three pandemics suggests double- or triple-duty actions that address the major systems of food and agriculture, transport, urban design and land use that drive the Global Syndemic.

Triple Duty Actions

Triple Duty Actions are single actions you can take that target the three pandemics of the Global Syndemic: obesity, undernutrition, and climate change. Select a Triple Duty Action social card to view, download, and share to your social media.
