Dr. Dietz Serves as Expert Panelist on Senate Congressional Briefing on Water and Public Health

On September 12th, 2017, Redstone Center Chair, Dr. Dietz, served as an expert panelist on a Senate Congressional briefing on drinking water. Hosted by the National Drinking Water Alliance (NDWA) and sponsored by Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Bob Casey (D-PA) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), the discussion addressed ways drinking water can impact public health, information - and lack thereof - around prevalence of contaminated tap water, and feasible policy options. In addition to Dr. Dietz, the panel also included U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Manson Brown (Ret.), Tom Neltner, JD from the Environmental Defense Fund, and was moderated by Christina Hecht, PhD, of the Nutrition Policy Institute at the University of California, Division of Agriculture and National Resources.
