3rd STOP Obesity Alliance Roundtable on Obesity Management and Coverage

On November 14, 2016, the STOP Obesity Alliance at the Redstone Center hosted its third roundtable discussion on Obesity Management and Coverage. The session was jointly facilitated by representatives from the National Quality Forum and the School of Public Health: Bill Dietz, Director of STOP and Redstone Center Chair, and Jeff Levi, Health Policy and Management Professor. The day-long roundtable focused on how to best determine obesity-related outcome measures at the population, health plan, and individual levels with the eventual goal of developing system-level measures of accountability and quality for obesity care. Participants included health care providers, private and public payers, patient advocates, and other experts in the field of obesity prevention and treatment.
